Complications (1 Update)

Complications (1 Update)

Tomorrow is the end of “Jen Time”. I fly back to the UK and bide my time before I can spend some more time with my loved ones. The last few days of my visit are always difficult, both of us push it out of our minds but it sneaks in on occasion and upsets the both of us.

I spent today packing my stuff when I decided to find my passport out and check my flight details. Only to find my passport not where it should be…bugger.

A frantic search by Jen and myself of our room, saw us moving furnature and unpacking everything.

Still no passport.

At this point I am am climbing up the wall, ringing airports, ringing my folks (at 4am in england), ringing the English embassy. To say I was stressing out would be an understatement of epic proportions. I took a time out, managed to calm myself down (surprisingly) and tried to remember where I had it last. Then I came to the slow realization that I think I left it on the plane.

So tomorrow I get to rush to the airport, find out if they have my passport, if not ring the embassy again (and actually reach someone this time, seriously the phone number had “emergency” next to it and no one is there. Instead they want you to pay $2 a minute to talk to someone on another number) and see what to do. Not sure what is going to happen seeming I am at the end of my allowed stay time.

Not exactly how I wanted to spend my last evening with Jen.

Update:

Last night I rang the local airport up to speak to someone regarding my passport. The fellow there said I should stop by and speak to Delta instead. This morning Jen drove us up to the airport where we spoke to Delta. We were told that they don’t think they have any passports, but if they do they will be locked up and the person who has the key isn’t there yet.
We waited around for the the person to show up which they did and I went and asked again.

Result!

They had my passport. They freaking had my passport!
So a big weight has been lifted I still feel like crap after the rough nights sleep and have a long journey ahead of me but I have my passport again.
