Myst Soundtracks
Lately I have been listening to the Myst IV Revelation soundtrack a lot. I can understand liking say Robyn’s work more than Tim’s, and Tims more than Jacks etc. But personally I find that to compare them is to put Rap against say Classical (just an example). Each of them have contributed something great to the soundtracks, each has their style of working.
What does bother me is people saying Robyn’s music is better than Tims and that Tims music isn’t Myst, well no his music is for D’ni. D’ni is vast compared to Myst, the atmosphere of the places are different you can’t have the same music for each.
I think Tim will do a great job with Myst V’s soundtrack some people will like it, some will not some will complain until we are sick of hearing about it.
If I had to choose who my favorite composer was I wouldn’t be able to, each bring something unique to the table and I enjoy all of it.
