Santana Concert

Headed up to Birmingham with my mother to see Santana play. I don’t consider myself a fan but I do enjoy his music, he is a fantastic guitar player. My mother on the other hand is a fan and has been wanting to go and see him for a while, but she needs someone to go with her so I offered.

We at (pre)determined do love music so and are always on the look out to expand our musical horizons. So its no surprise that when a site like Jamendo pops up we do not fail to wander over and check it out.

Jamendo is a website with a revolutionary model that allows artists to promote and publish their music. Artist have the opportunity to show their creativity to a broader audience, and the public has a place to listen to, download, and share new music.

With 2000+ albums all tagged up in the various genre’s its pretty easy to find something you might be interested in and find new independent artists.

Lamb, No more?

Just found out Lamb have split up, this saddens me greatly as they are one of my favorite groups.
Apparently Lou Rhodes has a solo album out so I shall have to pick that up she has such a wonderful voice. Oddly enough the cover to Beloved One looks very similar to the cover for Between Darkness and Wonder.

Myst Soundtracks

Myst Soundtracks

Lately I have been listening to the Myst IV Revelation soundtrack a lot. I can understand liking say Robyn’s work more than Tim’s, and Tims more than Jacks etc. But personally I find that to compare them is to put Rap against say Classical (just an example). Each of them have contributed something great to the soundtracks, each has their style of working.
