Zompocalypse Now
The Hallows End festival was in full swing, people were running around trick or treating, cramming candy until they were sick, when the arrival of the Argent Dawn echoed the coming doom (which I guess is why the patch was called Echoes of Doom, whodathunkit) that was lurking.
Across Azeroth a plague spread, those who succumbed and fell to it found themselves risen up again and starting to hunger for human flesh.

A few months back I was chatting with some fellow friends and the conversation turned from Myst to the book 1984, and I was inspired to do some Big Brother inspired Guild of Maintainer posters.
Yesterday I decided to remake them using the Guild of Maintainers colour of burgundy.

Blizzard announced that the next World of Warcraft expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich King, will be out on the 13th of November. Just a few days before a certain lady’s birthday, wonder what she’ll be getting as a present.
We’ve both decided we wanted to get the Collectors Edition this expansion pack, Jen wanted the little frost dragon pet it gives and I was interested in the soundtrack and book of WoW artwork.

The Fallen Lord
I’ve been wanting to do a piece on Veovis for a while now, I finally got around to it recently. Veovis is one of those characters of the Myst universe that I like a great deal, not because he ended up killing most of his race, but because of the mechanism that lead to the act. Not to mention that after he had lead to millions dying, he refused to step over that final line and break one of the greatest D’ni laws.

When it comes to how the Nexus is set out there is not much I don’t like about it, for the most part it is pretty easy to navigate around in. However there is room for improvements in regards to navigation, not only that but hood management and some “issues” that bug many people.

Yesterday episode one of Penny Arcade Adventures game, On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, came out along with a demo of which I promptly downloaded. As a big fan of Penny Arcade I was curious as to what kind of mad cap world they had crafted.

When Uru Ages Beyond Myst and its online counterpart Uru Live was launched, players starting out found themselves at The Cleft, the “gateway” to D’ni. To those who follow the D’ni Lore this was a place of significant historical value and a place much desired to be visited.

You know I had this big old post set up in my mind, my views on the closure of the game (again) along with other things.
But Alah beat me to it and pretty much summed up things perfectly for me.

New Games
I had been hearing a lot of hype about Portal, so I purchased The Orange Box recently. I wasn’t so interested in Half Life 2 until I found out the Portal Gun can be added to the game, I bought it mainly for Portal itself.

Prologue Vs Live
I have been digging through some old Uru stuff on my computer recently, and it got me thinking about the comparisons between Uru “Prologue” Live and Uru Live. I’m not going to address the fact that Prologue never made it out of beta because that doesn’t seem fair.
