Whilst I have I spent several Christmases in the US, this is the first year where Jen and I have been married, and that we have been in our own house. In a sense it was our first proper Christmas together.
We were rather disorganized for it this year, with a lot of unexpected issues arising, however we pretty much managed to get it together, and the kids seemed to have enjoyed it which is the important thing.
Jen’s parents asked if we would be having Christmas at their place again this year, but we opted to have it here and go over to theirs for Christmas dinner.
It was also interesting trying to handle presents going and coming from the UK. Amazon.com thankfully makes things easier in that regard, but it isn’t perfect, next year hopefully we will be better prepared for it.
Was a pretty good one, kids seemed to enjoy themselves and their gifts, I got to be all manly with the great power tool kit Jen’s parents got me and Jen got plenty of Cadbury’s chocolate that she loves so much, plus dinner was very tasty, although I do miss the sausages wrapped in bacon that my mother makes with her Christmas dinner.
