Creatively inclined from a young age, our hero sought to be like his uncle and become a graphic designer. Through his young years to his teens, he could often be found not paying attention in class and doodling in his exercise books to the annoyance of his teachers. Fresh from school he moved on and spent 4 years at Strouds School for Art & Design where he discovered a passion for Fine Art and painting, shying away from the graphic design elements he had aimed at for so long.
It was during this time, or more specifically the year of 1998, that he began to tinker with website building, first using services such as fortunecities before making his own sites in WYSIWYG programs such as Dreamweaver
Having completed his stint at the School for Art & Design our hero moved down south to the seaside town of Portsmouth to commence a BA Hons Fine Art course.
In the sunny (when not raining) yet busy city of Portsmouth our hero applied the skills and techniques he had learned in Fine Art to designing websites and graphics. Upon meeting a young lady (to whom our hero would later be engaged to) he learned how to take his designs further and think outside of the box as it were. A later chance encounter with his friend Denis yielded news of a book by a Mr Jeffery Zeldman called “Designing With Web Standards” which sparked his interest in making sure his sites contained valid semantic coding.
Since then he has returned to the southwest of England from whence he came and continues to build sites.
When not building sites he can be found frequently gaming or partaking in the online community built around the Myst franchise.
